Pioneers in offshore platform and pipeline construction, J. Ray McDermott Engineering dates back to 1947. We are among the oldest and best known name in the offshore energy sector.

We led the offshore construction industry 50 years ago, and we're ahead of our time now - pioneering new, innovative, more efficient, and less expensive offshore design technologies and project development strategies to give our customers the best value for their project budgets.

With our long and varied experience, J. Ray McDermott can provide engineering and management services for projects of any size and can carry out almost every aspect of such projects backed by the resources of the entire global organization.

In addition to a worldwide reputation in the design and installation of conventional fixed platforms and submarine pipelines, J. Ray McDermott blazed a trail into deep water with the compliant tower and the spar production platform, both structures providing our customers with economical development tools in water depths greater than 1,500 ft. Indeed Mentor is now working on projects which will be installed in water depths between 3,000 and 6,500 ft.

Our main engineering office is located in Houston, Texas, USA. Additional regional offices are located in the United States at New Orleans, Louisiana; in the Middle East at Dubai, UAE; and in Southeast Asia at Jakarta, Indonesia.

J. Ray McDermott Engineering utilizes state-of-the-art software for engineering analysis and computer-aided design and drafting. Our internal data network exchange permits electronic interchange and video teleconferencing between all of our engineering locations.
